“There’s no good reason to give an organization a grant if its management or goals are not well thought out.”
Cole Wilbur
Trustee and Past President, Packard Foundation
Mr. Wilbur and the Packard Foundation believe that nonprofits need to build capacity and capability—coaching, leadership, strategic execution—as does the for-profit world, backing that up with over $2.7million in organizational effectiveness grants since 2009. The success of these grants have begun a shift in the paradigm of minimizing unrestricted funding to a recognition that impact requires some investment in organizational development and effectiveness.
On February 9, 2012, Olivia Herriford and Kirsti Tcherkoyan will host an executive workshop for leadership teams ready to align for growth in 2012. For more information and registration, click here.
