Visits to the Orange Dentist Chair

Dr. Jon got stared with the real work today. We were fortunate to have many people show up at the clinic this morning because there were also medical examinees scheduled. The talks at the schools were effective, too, because we have several students we saw yesterday line up patiently for and exam.

We had a second interpreter, Dennis, join us this morning. I was so impressed with him – not only for his excellent English, but how engaging he was with everyone who sat in the orange chair. I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise – six month out of the year he works at the San Juan del Sur cruise ship terminal, boarding the ships to work with the crew on debarkation requirements for visitors. He knows how to make sure people are happy.

Jon did 45+ exams today. Needless to say both he and Dennis were ready pretty tired the end of the day. Breaks were Important!
