Work Done, A Few Days to Relax

By June 9, 2009No Comments

When we returned to Escamequita on Saturday, there were few people in the “waiting room.” The clinic is usually closed on the weekends. Another learning we’ll take note of for the next trip. After about a half dozen exams, Belinia, one of our interpreters, was Jon’s last patient, and after that we didn’t have much to do but have a little fun.

The next day (Sunday) Jon and Fred went surfing while Angela and I stuck around Fred’s place getting some work done. Pretty tough considering this view:

Not only did I get all of my papers graded, I even made some progress on my book. (Matthew, you’d be proud of me! Thanks for your encouragement!)

Today (Monday) was a lovely day. Starting with a jog on the beach early this morning and  returning that afternoon, spending several hours at one of the beachfront restaurants reading Peter Block’s book, The Answer to How? is Yes and watching people walk by. Life is Good. The week has gone by too fast.
