Marianne Williamson, a spiritual leader and author I have admired for years is considering running for California’s 10th congressional seat. I attended a focus group last night, convened to provide her with feedback on the idea. First let me admit that I was thrilled to meet this woman you has touch me in so many ways. Her energy was at once loving and fiery. Loving when she spoke about hope and fiery when she talked about her ideas for change. If you’ve read her books, Healing the Soul of America and Imagine, a compilation with other thought leaders, you know that Marianne understands the challenges and opportunities before her.
Being fans on Marianne, most of us want to see her bring a spiritual consciousness to Washington discover this info here. But I witnessed an interesting phenomenon, similar to when Barack announced his run for the Presidency. Fear. Fear that she would be “eaten alive” as one participant said. I had that fear for President Obama, but no more. I know that as we continue to surround him with our love and prayers, he will be successful and safe. And that’s all we need to do for Marianne.
