In the midst of a personal retreat to get away from the distractions that I believed were interfering with my writing, I realized that the topic of peace of mind is very daunting. I’m over-volunteered, and the demands of being an HOA president, a board member of two nonprofits in fundraising season, and an over-committed member of two profesional organization that followed me here are real reasons why my writing has been in fits of starts and stops. With little done, the thought of giving advice on how to live in harmony in the relationships in life is feeling like climbing Mt. Everest – very few make it to the top and when they get there, they can only cherish the accomplishment for a few minutes before survival force them to return.
What this week has shown me is, like all of us, peace begins with me. The first thing we must all do is slow down, breathe, be thankful, and relax in the knowing that the Universe only says “yes” to what we give out attention to.
All that Marilynn and I have to do with this book is make it a reminder that we all want peace of mind, peace within our day-to-day lives. If we give out attention to that basic human desire, we become a ripple of co-creation that doesn’t need much help than that.
